Hello,
My name is Steve and I am Richard's husband. Richard and I make great partners in life and in business. Sometimes people ask, how we can work together. It's actually quite easy. We bring our individual perspectives together in most matters and it always produces good things. Together we have remodeled the salon in a Italian theme, opened a swim wear store that gives the feeling of the tropics the moment you step into the store, and throw great parties for clients and friends.
You might say I'm a "Jack of all trades", with dual bachelor degrees in television production and nursing. Strange mix, but over time they have blended themselves to create two great careers, which I love equally. I currently work full time as a pediatric procedural sedation nurse, in which I have used alternative relaxation techniques, using light, sound and illusion to entertain the children, enabling them to relax and hold still long enough to complete CT scans without the use of narcotic medications. The medical field deals with life threatening situations and can be rather intense especially when dealing with children. This is why I find working at the salon and Lowtide to be an outlet for me, to be creative and not have my client's life in my hand.
I enjoy making people look their best and creating looks that promote confidence, emphasizing their inner beauty. It's very rewarding working together as a family business and building a reputation of quality service.
My daughters Melody and Sophia of course love my work and take full advantage of my abilities. They are a very special part of my life. I love you both very much. Kylie, Richard's daughter, is my buddy and together with my girls brings life to our home when we all come together.
